The Economist magazine recently featured a special report on artificial intelligence (July 2016). ‘Automation and anxiety – will smarter machines cause mass unemployment?’ Many jobs that are currently done by highly-trained white-collar workers can be automated as a result of advances in artificial intelligence. At the end of May 2016, Swordbridge hosted a group of volunteer teachers who work at different Refugee Learning Centres around Kuala Lumpur. The focus of the cafe was to meet and discuss volunteers' different experiences of Classroom Management. The participants included local Malaysian volunteers, as well as teachers from the Chin refugee community. It was a morning full of sharing experiences and offering each other suggestions.
